Now that we've contacted all of the participating filmmakers in the 2010 NYILFF Domestic Features category, I thought it would be fun to have Juan Caceres, our programming director, give his take on the category:
It's a slimmer domestic roster, but I'm happy with the selections. I think one key thing this year is returning to why we are here... a majority of these films are not star-driven and were shot on micro-budgets, so it is a return to form for us. There's definitely an indie feel, which will be nicely complemented by the international and docs sections.
